BioDisc^® is a cross-linked protein.  The bovine serum albumin and glutaraldehyde solutions are simultaneously dispensed and mixed via a controlled delivery system.

The delivery system consists of a dual chambered cartridge, a delivery device, and a mixing delivery tip where cross-linking begins.

The components of BioDisc^® begin to polymerize immediately upon mixing within the delivery tip and start to set in 20-30 seconds, creating a flexible, viscoelastic hydrogel implant.  Full strength is achieved in approximately 2 minutes.
