CryoVein® Saphenous Vein

CryoVein saphenous vein is a valuable option for cardiac and vascular surgeons when no suitable autologous tissue is available.

Time is of the essence when dealing with the complications of limb-threatening peripheral artery disease. The availability of CryoLife cryopreserved saphenous vein provides surgeons and their patients the critical key to limb salvage - more time. With CryoVein saphenous vein, patients have a chance to clear lower limb infections, reduce the risk of amputation and regain the use of their legs.

When compared to synthetic materials, CryoVein saphenous vein has demonstrated performance in below-the-knee bypass.

When no suitable autologous tissue is available, CryoVein saphenous vein is an option for coronary revascularization. CryoVein saphenous vein offers surgeons an allograft tissue that is infection resistant, compliant and handles like autologous tissue.

"Reverse saphenous vein homografts are effective conduits for cardiovascular reconstruction with excellent, immediate hemodynamic characteristics similar to those of autogenous veins." 1
